After reading the book Half the Sky chapter one and two I am really surprised by all the illegal prostitution that occurs in Cambodia. Like the author mentioned I also thought that women made the choice to prostitute them selves when they were facing difficulties and had to find a way to help support their family. I actually never thought that the prostitutes were kept like slaves without actually getting paid for what they were doing. The story that grabbed my attention the most was when Naina was taken away from her mom when just being a few days old. I feel like Meena should had the opportunity to see her daughter and her son grow even thought she was working as a prostitude. Another story that grabbed my attention is that people were actually trying to help proven AID's even though it was a big challenge for them because a lot of people didn't support the foundation but instead their were some people like the police officers who preferred the legalization of prostitution.
